Toolkit for Success

Success means different things to all of us. For some of us it is winning the lottery, for some of us it is winning the love of your life and for many it is having three meals a day and a home to sleep in. Whatever be the struggle in your life, succeeding starts and continues within you. However you can use some tools to help you.

Perseverance
People who have been successful in anything have done so by never giving up. An ability you develop over time by failing and by getting knocked down. It is a gift that gives you the strength to get up and carry on. Almost like a secret power because you donít realise you have it. So how do you realise this? By visualising your dream, accepting your failures and learning from them and by keeping at it no matter what. Success appears to be an escaping fish but perseverance is your tool to catch it.

Believe
ĎBelieving you can Ďis half the battle won in any war. When your belief system is backed up with rationale, you have what it takes to be successful. But believing in yourself is not easy especially when your previous attempts have not been successful and you donít have the confidence.
When climbing a steep road/walking a steep track my dad always told me ďDonít get bogged down looking at how far you need to climb instead turn back and see the path you have walked and achieved ď . When you see how far you have come, you will gain confidence and that will fuel your belief system. Believe it to see it happen.

Optimism
When you never give up and believe you can achieve, the last tool you need is optimism. When you are positive you attract goodness like a magnet. And the best way to keep it going is by being surrounded by people who are positive. The last thing you need is negativity and someone making you feel you cannot achieve your dream. Listen to constructive criticism and pick the bit you can improve but donít let that affect your belief system and perseverance. When the going gets tough, the tough will not get going if you have weights attached to it. You have to remove the weights (negativity).

Although life presents more failures than successes, it is really giving you clues to the puzzle for you to solve.

Success is not about winning Ė It is a journey of failures and an experience to have.

Wishing you success and donít forget to pack your toolkit!
